New Year, New Chapter - A Change of Scenery

Whew.  Happy New Year 2013:) Can you believe it's March already and yes I'm going to say it.  Are you kidding me.

A new year is sometimes perfect medicine as it gives us a different perspective or spin on the same old issues, like a new chapter. It may even inspire us to instigate that change of scenery which re-aligns us back on the path we had drafted and planned many years ago.  Horray for a change of scenery! Compulsory part of the journey.

What an extraordinary and jam-packed final three months 2012 gave to each and everyone, gift-wrapped even, topped off with a sparkly ribbon - so sparkly my eyes hurt. To be honest I am shocked and speechless, which may explain my short sabbatical - months of silence since my last post; and not the fact that I had to remind myself that I have a blog which needs updating (it's like owning a plant really, it needs constant watering and attention...)

Blog Note: Why a blog you ask?  Why not. Why this topic you ask? Something different. Not your cup of tea, bit dry?  Hurts your brain? Simple - don't read it.

Formalities first....I'm sure everyone had an awesome Christmas and for others a well deserved and much needed break. I adore holidays. Especially when it had delivered such nice yummy weather here in Auckland.

Moving right along....Not sure if the same could be said for the weather from the last few of months, gee whiz. Where on earth do I start? Both locally and globally it really made a statement. Is it nature's way of replenishing itself or renewing it's shell like a cicada does. Or a scientific explanation of a cycle which has come round and we just happen to be at a certain point in the timeline? Who knows. The Mayan Calendar, big whew, has explained post-2012, that their 'end' is nothing more than the end of a 'calendar era' and simply the start of a new calendar era.  However you may interpret it, this sure does remind us just who is in charge.  Not us.

Absolutely unbelievable the destruction that these natural disasters have created...Mother Nature is unforgiving and her mood swings are a reflection on how she is treated. Superstition? Science would say otherwise said the respected scientist!

However you interpret this devastation, be SAFE Aucklanders!!

(PLEASE NOTE: I had written this back in 2013 and never published this post...! So after a long hiatus and sabbatical, scaling the highest mountainous peaks, exploring deep in the kauri dieback free rainforests, trekking through the sweltering dry desert, sailing across the wildly raging sea.......of life that is, I am back and catching up, FIVE years later....yes back to humour you with, "man, where did the time go....."
